Emmy grew directly from the practice of a group of six general practitioners in the Czech Republic and their frustration with the growing gap between the possibilities of digital technologies and the outdated and limited tools that doctors work with in practice. After years of experience in their own practices, Tim Young and Ondřej Sobotka decided to found Emmy and create a solution that doctors lacked.
First, they conducted a survey of what doctors need most, and then from the doctors consulted they compiled a group of pilot offices, regularly commenting on the development of the Emma in the second half of 2020.
These practices then decided to invest not only their time, but also finances in Emma. In the future, we plan to allow other doctors, preferably, to co-finance the development of Emmy and thus become investors of the project.
